ASKO Appliance Repair in Surfside Beach, TX
Surfside Beach sits on Follet's Island with the Gulf in front of it, and many houses are second homes or rentals. Salt-laden Gulf air gets to every machine indoors, so ASKO washers, dryers and dishwashers see salt and long idle stretches.
We provide ASKO dishwasher, washer, dryer, and drying cabinet repair in Surfside Beach (77541). Call us or fill out the online form to schedule service. We'll confirm a three-hour arrival window.
What Surfside Beach homes change about a ASKO repair
Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach ASKO diagnostics here.
Second Homes and Rentals
Many houses in Surfside Beach are second homes or rentals, so appliances sit idle for weeks and then run hard on a weekend. The village faces the Gulf on Follet's Island.
An idle machine can have stale water in its lines and a door seal that has dried or grown mildew. When you book, say how long the house has sat shut, and who can meet us if you are away.
Water That Sits in Closed Houses
The village purchases water from the City of Freeport, which belongs to the Brazosport Water Authority. A house left shut for weeks keeps stale water standing in its lines.
After a house has sat empty, run a rinse cycle in the dishwasher and an empty washer cycle before first use. If a machine still smells stale or fills slowly, we clean the lines and the filter.
Storm Damage, Salt Spray
Hurricane Ike in 2008 destroyed the beachfront row nearest the water and wrecked miles of the Bluewater Highway, which stayed closed until May 2009. Between storms, salt spray still collects on coils, hinges and panel screws.
Corrosion on a washer or dryer shows first at hinges, screws and connections, so we check those and replace what is damaged. After a flood or storm surge, do not run an appliance that sat in water; a wet circuit is for an electrician first.
Closet Laundry and Compact Kitchens
Compact kitchens are common in beach houses, usually a dishwasher plus a freestanding refrigerator, with a stacked washer and dryer wedged into a closet or beneath a staircase. Space around those units is limited.
A stacked ASKO pair needs room for air and for the door to open, and a unit under stairs is hard to reach for service. Send a photo of the space and the model label when you book, so we know what to bring.
Surfside Beach sits on Follet’s Island along the Bluewater Highway. Many homes are rentals or second homes, so nobody may be there when we arrive. When you book, say who will be at the house or how we get in, and send a photo of the model label; we will confirm a three-hour arrival window.
Salt and idle time are the two things that wear on appliances here. We check the connections, the door seal and the drain before we replace parts, and we write the price before work. A wet outlet or a breaker that will not reset is an electrician’s call, and a leaking shutoff valve is a plumber’s.

Over time it can corrode screws, hinges and connections. We inspect those during a repair and replace what is damaged.
Can you meet the guest or the cleaner instead of the owner?
