What H1 means
On the ASKO WCN311942G three-zone wine climate cabinet, H1 is a humidity sensor error for zone A. This sensor tells the control how moist the air is around the bottles in zone A, and the touch display shows a pop-up when its reading is not usable. Temperature control may still work, but the humidity reading for that zone cannot be trusted. On ASKO washers and dryers the same characters point elsewhere; here we describe the wine cabinet.
Common causes of H1
- The zone A humidity sensor
- The sensor wiring and connector
- Moisture or condensation reaching the sensor
- The control board reading the sensor
1. Use the X button on the pop-up to close it. 2. Wipe up any visible moisture in zone A with a dry cloth, and keep the door closed. 3. Leave the cabinet running as usual and see whether the message returns. 4. If it comes back after 3 hours, the owner's manual says to call for service.
- A wrong humidity reading can come from the sensor, a loose connection or damp conditions, and the display cannot say which.
- We test the zone A sensor and its signal against the other zones.
- You approve a written price first, and the repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Other Wine Cabinet codes
Does H1 mean my wine is too humid?
Not necessarily. H1 says the zone A humidity reading is not usable, which is different from the cabinet reading high. We check the real humidity as well as the sensor.
Why do H1, H2 and H3 look alike?
They are the same type of sensor error reported for three different zones. H1 is zone A, H2 is zone B and H3 is zone C, so the code tells us exactly which sensor to test when we arrive.
Can I turn the message off?
Dismissing it with X or Confirm clears it for about 3 hours. Only P1 can be set not to display again, so do not rely on hiding H1.
