What T1 means
T1 on the ASKO WCN311942G wine cabinet (three zones) with the touch display is a temperature sensor error for the outside environment. This sensor reads the air around the cabinet, and the control uses that reading to decide how hard the cooling should work. When the reading is unusable, a pop-up appears. The zones may still cool, but the cabinet is working without a reliable room reading. ASKO washers and dryers give these characters other meanings; this entry is for the wine cabinet.
Common causes of T1
- The outside temperature sensor
- Its wiring and connector
- A hot or poorly ventilated spot around the cabinet
- The input on the control board that reads this sensor
1. Wipe the message off the screen with X or Confirm. 2. Look at where the cabinet stands. Heat from an oven, a sunny window or a closed cabinet space can disturb the reading. 3. Make sure the vents are clear and the room is ventilated. 4. If the message returns after 3 hours, the owner's manual says to call for service.
- The display cannot tell us whether the room is unusually warm or the sensor is giving a bad reading.
- We read the actual room temperature, set it against the sensor reading and look over the sensor wiring.
- Our price is written before work begins, and the work we do carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

How is T1 different from T2?
T2 belongs to the sensor inside zone A. T1 reads the air outside the cabinet, so it is about the room, not about any of the three zones.
Does T1 mean my bottles are too warm?
No. It means a sensor reading is unusable. Check the zone temperatures on the display, and we can tell you whether the cooling is keeping up.
Can a hot kitchen set off T1?
Heat near the cabinet can make the room reading unusual and make the cooling work harder. We look at the surroundings as well as the sensor.

A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
