What T4 means

On the ASKO model WCN311942G, a three-zone wine cabinet,, T4 is a temperature sensor error for zone B. The control relies on this sensor to keep zone B at the temperature you chose, so when its reading is unusable a pop-up appears on the touch display. You may see zone B drifting or not responding to setting changes. These characters mean something else on an ASKO washer or dryer, so this page is meant for the wine cabinet.

Common causes of T4

  • The zone B temperature sensor
  • The wiring or connector at the sensor
  • The control board input for it
  • Condensation on the sensor
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Press X or Confirm to clear the pop-up. 2. Read the zone B temperature on the display and compare it with how the zone feels. 3. Leave the door shut as much as you can. 4. The owner's manual advises calling us when the message reappears 3 hours later.

! Why to stop there
  • We cannot tell from the pop-up whether the zone is out of range or only the reading is.
  • We measure zone B directly and test the sensor and its wiring.
  • You see a written price before work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty applies.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
T4T4 questions
Is T4 the zone B version of T2?

Yes. T2 is the zone A air sensor, T4 is the zone B air sensor, and T8 covers zone C. The evaporator sensors for the zones carry separate codes.

Why does zone B look different from A and C?

Each zone has its own sensors and controls, so one zone can show a code while the other two look completely normal. That is how the cabinet is built, not a sign of a larger problem.

Will it stop working altogether?

Not necessarily. The cabinet may keep cooling, but zone B may not follow its setting closely until the sensor is sorted out, so keep watching the display.
