What NO ERROR CODES means
The US Use and Care Guide for the ASKO T711 and T721 dryers has no error code table. Only the T731, T761 and T781 print one. If your older ASKO dryer stops, shows a blinking light or a message, there is no code list to look up for these two models. The dryer still has safety and control protections, so a stop is real even when no code explains it.
Common causes of NO ERROR CODES
- A lint filter or vent that is blocked, so airflow protection stops the cycle
- A door that is not latched or a worn door switch
- A power problem such as a tripped breaker or blown fuse
- A temperature or moisture sensor problem we find by testing
1. Clean the lint filter and check that the door is closed and latched. 2. Check the breaker box and fuses that feed the dryer. 3. Look at the vent hose and outside hood for kinks or lint. 4. Turn the dryer off, wait a moment, and turn it on again, then start a short cycle.
- What the dryer is protecting itself against, since it prints no code
- Whether the problem is power, airflow, door or a sensor
- Whether the parts are still available for this older model
Other Dryer codes
Why can't I find an error code for my T711?
The owner's guide for the T711 and T721 has no error table, so the dryer gives no list of codes to look up. We find the problem by testing the dryer instead.
Does that mean nothing is wrong?
No. A dryer that stops, blinks or will not start has a reason, even without a code. Airflow, power and the door are the first things we check.
