What WATER INLET FAULT means

A WMC64P, the ASKO Professional front-load washer made for multifamily and light commercial laundry rooms in the US, prints its water inlet message when the drum is not getting water. The cycle pauses, then stops, and the drum stays dry or only partly filled. Check the tap, the supply hose and the small filter inside the intake valve first, since sediment in that filter is a common reason for a weak fill.

Common causes of WATER INLET FAULT

The water tap to the washer is closed or only partly open
The filter in the intake valve is clogged with sediment
A kinked or flattened supply hose
An intake valve that no longer opens fully

1. Make sure the tap to the washer is fully open. 2. Shut off the tap, then unscrew the supply hose from the washer. 3. Clean the filter in the intake valve, screw the hose back on, and turn the tap on again. 4. Run the program again. If the message returns, shut off the tap and stop using the washer.

Why does my washer say the water inlet has a problem?

Water is not reaching the drum the way the washer expects. A closed tap, a clogged intake filter or a kinked hose is the usual reason, and the fix is often quick.

Is it safe to unscrew the hose myself?
