What CYCLE INTERRUPTED BY POWER FAILURE means
On ASKO T5 series dryers, such as the T5HXLW.U, T5HXLT.U and T5HXLG.U, this message tells you that the electricity went off while a cycle was running. The dryer remembers where it was and asks you to resume. It is information, not a breakdown. Clothes may be only partly dried and still warm or damp. Press Start/Pause to restart or resume the cycle.
Common causes of CYCLE INTERRUPTED BY POWER FAILURE
- A power outage or tripped breaker during the cycle
- A plug or outlet that lost contact
- A brief voltage drop in the house
- A repeating trip from a shared circuit
1. Check that the dryer has power and the plug is seated. 2. Press Start/Pause to pick the cycle up where it stopped. 3. Let the cycle finish and check that the laundry is dry. 4. If the message keeps appearing without an outage, tell us how often it happens.
- Whether the power loss came from the house or from the dryer
- Whether the breaker or outlet is weak
- Whether the dryer's own control shuts down under load

Will I lose my settings after a power failure?
The dryer keeps its program, so one press of the button resumes it. If clothes are still damp afterward, run a short extra cycle.
The message appears without any outage. Why?
Something may be cutting power for a moment, such as a loose plug, a shared breaker or a dryer circuit that dips under load. That is worth having looked at.
