What F30 means

On TD70.1 condenser and heat-pump dryers from ASKO that have the type B LCD panel, such as the T743C and T753C, F30 tells you the program ran longer than 200 minutes. The dryer then stops the cycle and resets the program. The usual reasons are poor condensation, meaning the moisture is not being removed from the air well, or blocked airflow where the dryer takes in outside air.

Common causes of F30

  • A load that came in too wet, such as clothes with a low spin speed
  • Poor ventilation in the room
  • Lint restricting the airflow or condensation
  • Whether the dryer repeats F30 with a lightly loaded drum
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Turn the dryer off at the main switch and leave it off for about 30 minutes before restarting. 2. Make sure the room is well ventilated while the dryer runs. 3. Spin laundry at a higher speed in the washer before drying. 4. If F30 repeats, schedule service.

! Why to stop there
  • Whether the condenser or heat-pump circuit is removing moisture as it should
  • Whether lint or a restriction is slowing the airflow
  • Whether an ordinary load finishes drying well under the limit
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F30F30 questions
Why does the dryer stop at 200 minutes?

The control cuts off any program that runs past that time, because a cycle that long means the dryer is not drying efficiently. It then resets the program and shows F30.

Does a wetter load cause F30?

It can. Clothes that come out of the washer very wet take much longer to dry. A higher spin speed in the washer is a free first step.

Is an older TD70.1 worth repairing?

Often it is, though we are honest when a repair is not worth the money. We repair dryers like this regularly. To schedule service, call us or use the online form. The price goes in writing before we start, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows the repair.
