What OVERFLOW means
OVERFLOW appears on ASKO T781 dryers with an LCD and on TD70.2 and TD70.3 condenser models such as the T743C and T753C. On the TD70.2 and TD70.3, the dryer has detected a full condensed water tank. On the T781, the manual lists the condensed water container, the drain hose and the condensation pump as the places to check. Either way the dryer stops the cycle and shows the message.
Common causes of OVERFLOW
- A condensed water container or tank that is full
- A drain hose with a kink or blockage, or a drain point above 40 inches
- A condensation pump that is blocked
1. Remove the condensed water container and empty it. 2. If the dryer drains to a pipe, look over the black rubber hose for kinks and blockages. 3. Make sure the drain point is not higher than 40 inches. 4. Restart the program. If OVERFLOW returns, schedule service.
- Whether the condensation pump runs and moves water
- Whether the hose is clear along its length
- Whether the level switch reads full when the tank is actually empty

What does OVERFLOW mean on my ASKO dryer?
It means the water the dryer removes from your clothes has nowhere to go. The container is full, or the pump or drain hose is not moving it away.
How high can the drain hose go?
For a T781 that drains to a pipe, the drain point should be no higher than 40 inches. A higher drain or a kinked hose can make the water back up.
Can you fix a drain problem on a condenser dryer?
Yes. We repair dryers like this regularly. To schedule service, call us or use the online form. The price goes in writing before we start, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows the repair.
