ASKO D5628XXLS Built-In XXL Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Cabinet-side leak
- Door out of line
- Drying not completing
- Pump rattles
The ASKO D5628XXLS is a built-in XXL dishwasher in stainless steel, from the D5628 numbers. It is an older model now, and many are still in daily use in Houston kitchens.
A built-in machine is held in place by the cabinet, so we check how it is anchored and whether the door lines up with the opening. A cabinet-side leak makes us check the hoses and the fit of the front panel. A pump that rattles makes us check the impeller area for debris. If the drying step does not finish, we check the vent and the door seal.
We protect the stainless and the floor when pulling the machine, and we reinstall it level. We read the number from the plate before ordering parts, check availability, and give a written price before work.

Error codes this model can show
What does built-in mean for repair?
The dishwasher is anchored under the counter, so repairs usually involve removing it. We plan that carefully so the cabinet and floor are protected. Reinstalling it level and anchored under the counter is part of every job.
Why does my pump rattle?
A small piece of glass, a seed or a bit of plastic can get into the pump area. We open it, remove the debris and check the pump for damage.
Can I use the machine while waiting for parts?
Not if it leaks or does not drain. We tell you whether it is safe to run, and what to do until the part is installed.
