What F12 means

F12 on an ASKO Professional DWC6432 dishwasher, such as the DWC6432BIXXLSU or DWC6432FIXXLU, is the first of two water inlet messages, meaning not enough water is entering the tub. The DWC6432 belongs to the professional line used in commercial and multifamily kitchens. The control waits for the water level to rise, and when it does not rise in time, the program stops and F12 appears.

Common causes of F12

  • The water supply valve is partly or fully closed
  • Clogged coarse or fine filters
  • A clogged inlet valve screen or a weak inlet valve
  • Low water pressure at the connection
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Check that the water supply valve to the dishwasher is fully open. 2. Clean both the coarse and the fine filter at the bottom of the tub. 3. Run any program to see if the message clears. 4. If F12 returns, shut off the supply valve and stop using the dishwasher.

! Why to stop there
  • Whether the inlet valve opens fully or is clogged inside
  • Whether house water pressure reaches the machine
  • Whether the water level sensor is reading correctly once water arrives
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F12F12 questions
Why would F12 show if the tap is open?

An open tap is only the start. A clogged filter, a weak inlet valve or low pressure can still keep the tub from filling in time, and the control reports F12.

Does cleaning the filters really help?

Often, yes. Both filters collect food and mineral flakes. Clean them, then run a program. If F12 persists, the problem is deeper in the water path.
