What D5434 display messages: Overfilling / Water outlet fault / Water inlet fault / Inlet valve leakage means
The ASKO D5434 is an older dishwasher that shows its problems as words in the display, and it is still in many homes. The error messages table in the owner's manual lists four. Overfilling means too much water in the tub. Water outlet means the tub is not draining. Water inlet means not enough water is coming in. Inlet valve leakage means water is getting past the valve while it should be closed. We repair this model and say plainly when a repair is not worth it.
Common causes of D5434 display messages: Overfilling / Water outlet fault / Water inlet fault / Inlet valve leakage
- A supply valve that is closed or a clogged inlet filter
- A drain pump or drain hose that is plugged
- An inlet valve that leaks through when closed
- A water level sensor reporting a wrong level
1. Check that the water supply valve is open. 2. If the message points to leakage or overfilling, turn off the water supply to the dishwasher. 3. Turn off the power to the machine and turn it on again. The message clears with a power cycle. 4. If the message comes back, leave the water off and stop using the dishwasher.
- Which of the four conditions keeps returning after the message is cleared
- Whether the pump, the valve or the level sensor is the cause
- Whether water is already in the base of the machine
