Most common issues on this model
- Cabinet walking across the floor in the spin
- Program stopping partway with a full drum
- Detergent left in the drawer
- Controls not responding
The 20003 is among the oldest ASKO washers we are asked about. It is long out of production, so many are in garages, utility rooms or second laundry areas.
A cabinet that walks across the floor tells us to check the leveling, the load and the suspension. A stalled program tells us to check the drain. A drawer with detergent left tells us to check the inlet. A control that ignores you gets its power tested.
We say plainly that some parts for this age of washer are very hard to find, so we confirm before we repair and give you a written price. If replacing the washer is wiser, we tell you. We tell you the repair cost before any work starts, so you can decide whether this machine is worth keeping.

Why does my washer shake across the floor?
Leveling, an unbalanced load or worn suspension. We check all three, and we tell you which repairs are worth making on a machine this age.
Is a 20003 too old to fix?
Not always; it depends on the parts. We check availability first so you do not pay for a repair we cannot finish. If the machine is out of production, we say so and discuss replacement honestly.
Do you quote first?
Yes, in writing, before any work starts. Repairs we make carry a 30-day workmanship warranty. Parts for this older washer are scarce, so we confirm before repair.
