Washer Repair in Houston
We repair ASKO front-load washers, including older models still in daily use. If the drum will not spin, the water will not drain or the door will not unlock, we check the pump, door lock, hoses and control first.
Common washer problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Water still sitting in the drum afterward
Door stays locked when the cycle ends
Loud banging or shaking during the spin
Water on the floor around the machine
Cycle stops and a message or light appears
Clothes stay soaked after the spin
ASKO washers are front-load machines with a stainless-steel drum, a drain pump, an inlet valve, a door lock and an electronic control. They are designed to use little water, which means cycles can be long and the pump and screens do a lot of quiet work. When a part wears, the first sign is usually water, noise or a door that will not open.
Houston laundry rooms are warm and humid, and that is hard on door gaskets, which can grow mildew, and on hoses and clamps behind the machine. Hard water also scales the inlet screens and the heating element over the years, so a washer that is 10 to 15 years old often needs more than one part checked.
We begin with the drain pump trap, door gasket, inlet screens, hoses and the door lock, then test the control. An older washer past its warranty gets a candid repair-or-replace opinion, and the written price is yours before work.

Why will my washer door not open after the cycle?
The door stays locked while the machine thinks water is still in the drum, or when the lock itself is failing. We check the drain pump and the lock separately. Please do not force the door, because that can break the latch.
What makes an ASKO washer shake during the spin?
Uneven loads, loose feet or worn suspension parts can all cause it. Leveling and the load come first, then the shock absorbers and drum bearings, and you hear what we found before we repair anything.
Should I repair an older ASKO washer?
Many are worth repairing, but a worn drum bearing or a damaged control can change the answer. We tell you plainly after testing, give the price in writing, and will say so when replacement is the better choice.
