What F11 means
On ASKO W6444A and other W6 washers that share the same F10 to F12 error list, code F11 means the washer cannot drain its water. The program stops with water left in the drum. Many homes still use these older models, and we repair them. A blocked drain hose outlet, a clogged pump or a kinked hose is the usual cause.
Common causes of F11
- Object stuck at the drain hose outlet
- Drain pump blocked by lint or small items
- Drain hose kinked or squeezed behind the washer
- Pump or its wiring that no longer works
1. Check that nothing is stuck at the drain hose outlet. 2. Check that the drain pump is not blocked and the hose has no kinks. 3. Run the Drain program, or press the door-opening key to release the door. 4. If F11 returns, schedule service.
- If the hose and pump are clear, we test the pump motor and its wiring with water in the drum
- Because these W6 washers are older, we confirm that a pump is available before the repair
- The price is written down before we repair anything, and a 30-day workmanship warranty backs the work
Other Washer codes
My ASKO W6 washer will not drain and shows F11. Why?
It is a drainage error. The washer could not pump out the water, so the program stopped with water still in the drum.
How do I run the Drain program?
Use the Drain program on the washer's program selector, as the owner's manual describes. Place towels and a shallow pan nearby in case water spills when you open the door.
Will F11 damage my laundry?
Clothes can sit in dirty water, which smells and can stain. Drain the washer soon, and have the pump checked if F11 returns, so you do not lose another load.
