What F12 means
On ASKO W6444A and other W6 washers that share the same F10 to F12 error list, code F12 means the washer is not getting water the way it should. Many homes still use these older models, and we repair them. The drum stays empty or fills too slowly, and the program stops. A closed tap or a blocked inlet filter is the most common cause.
Common causes of F12
- Water tap not fully open
- Inlet filter in the hose or valve blocked
- Inlet valve that does not open
- Low water pressure to the laundry area
1. Confirm the tap to the washer is turned all the way on. 2. See whether the machine inlet filter is blocked. 3. With the tap closed and the hose off, clean the filter in the inlet valve. 4. Restart the program. 5. If F12 returns, schedule service.
- Once the tap and filter check out, we turn to the inlet valve and its wiring
- Because these W6 washers are older, we confirm parts before the repair and say plainly when a repair is not worth it
- Written price first, then the repair, then a 30-day workmanship warranty on our work
Other Washer codes
Why will my ASKO W6 washer not take in water?
It is a water inlet error. The washer is not taking in water normally, so the program stops before the wash can start.
Where is the inlet filter?
There is a small screen where the hose meets the washer and another in the inlet valve. Close the tap first and have a towel ready, then clean the screen.
Is F12 the same as E3?
They are similar. E3 is the filling error on the newer W5 washers, and F12 is the inlet error on the older W6 washers. The first checks, the tap and the filter, are alike.
