What PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT means
The LCD text display on an older ASKO W6641 or W6661 shows a pressure sensor message when the sensor that reports the water depth in the drum gives a reading the washer cannot use. Without that reading the washer cannot fill or drain correctly, so it stops the program. Turning the power off or changing the program clears the message.
Common causes of PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT
- Pressure sensor that gives a wrong reading
- Small hose between the tub and the sensor, blocked or loose
- Sensor plug and its wires
- Control that reads the sensor
1. Turn the power off, which clears the message. 2. Choose a program and start it again. 3. Should the message return, leave the washer idle and book service, since the owner's manual lists a technician call for it.
- The owner's manual gives no steps beyond a service call, so we test the sensor, its hose and the wiring in turn
- We compare the sensor reading with the actual water in the drum before any part is replaced
- The washer is older, so we make sure the sensor can be had first and quote the price in writing

What does the pressure sensor message mean on my ASKO washer?
The sensor that measures the water level in the drum is not giving a usable reading. The washer stops rather than guess how much water it holds.
Is this the same as the water level error on newer ASKO washers?
It is the same kind of problem on an older model. The sensor, its hose and its wiring are what we check, whichever washer prints the message.
Can I wash again after turning the power off?
You can try. If the message returns, the washer may fill wrongly, so we suggest waiting for service rather than risking another load.
