WL6511XXLBB
ASKO WL6511XXLBB XXL Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Load soaked after the final spin
- Pump not clearing the drum
- Knocking at spin speed
- Door interlock stuck
The WL6511XXLBB is the BB version of the older ASKO WL6511 XXL washer. Its siblings are the WL6511XXLPP, WL6511XXLRR and WL6511XXLW. They are out of production, but many are still in service in Houston homes.
The most common reason for a soaked load on this washer is a pump that is not clearing the drum, so we begin at the pump and its filter. If the pump is working, we move on to the drive. Knocking at spin speed sends us to the bearings and the tub mounts, and a door that will not open sends us to the interlock.
Our first step is to read your label and confirm that you have the BB version. Next we find out whether the parts you need can be had, put the cost on paper, and say frankly if a repair is not a good use of your money.

Error codes this model can show
Why is my load soaked after the cycle?
Usually the pump did not clear the drum, or the drum did not reach spin speed. We test the pump first, then the drive, and tell you which one it is.
What does BB mean on the model number?
The BB ending identifies one of the four XXL versions. Because versions may not share every part, we compare your label against the part before ordering.
Is the knocking noise a serious problem?
It can be if a bearing is wearing out. We inspect before it gets worse, give you the cost of the fix, and let you decide with the facts in hand.
