What E11 means
Showing up on ASKO T5 series tumble dryers (TD86 platform, among them the T5HXLW.U and T5HXLT.U), E11 is a BLDC communication error. BLDC stands for brushless DC, the type of motor that turns the drum, and it has its own small driver that talks to the main control. E11 means that conversation has broken down, so the control cannot command the drum motor. The cycle stops and the display shows the code.
Common causes of E11
- The connection between the main control and the drum motor driver
- The motor driver electronics
- The drum motor itself
1. Start with a simple off-and-on restart of the dryer. 2. Close the door firmly and start a short program. 3. If E11 comes back, do not keep running cycles; schedule service instead. 4. Keep the area around the dryer clear so we can pull it out for the visit.
- Whether the break is in the wiring, the motor driver or the motor
- Whether the drum turns freely by hand once the dryer is unplugged and cooled
- Which replacement part fits your dryer, confirmed before we quote
Other Dryer codes
What is BLDC on my ASKO dryer?
It is the brushless DC drum motor and its driver. The driver takes orders from the main control, and E11 means those messages are not getting through.
Does E11 mean the drum motor is dead?
Not necessarily. The code points to the communication link between the control and the motor, so we test the wiring and driver before we call the motor a problem.
Do you service these dryers?
Yes. Our visit starts when you call us or fill out the online form. We give a written price before any repair, and each repair is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
