1885
ASKO 1885 Dishwasher Water Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Drain path when the tub keeps water after the program ends
- Lock that holds the door shut after a stop
- Cloudy glasses and grit that point to the filter
- Seal and hoses when water shows up at the front
The ASKO 1885 is an older ASKO dishwasher no longer sold, and ASKO’s earlier lineup shows it next to the 1895. We confirm which one you own from the label, because we do not assume they share every part.
On the 1885 we start with the drain when water is left in the base: filter, hose and pump, in that order. Most standing-water jobs end there. If the program stops with the door locked, the lock and the water level sensing are next, and gritty dishes lead us to the filter and spray arms.
Water at the front sends us to the door seal and connections. Parts for older models can be hard to find, so we confirm them before the repair. We give you the price in writing first, back the work with a 30-day warranty and say plainly when a repair is not worth it.

Error codes this model can show
Is the 1885 the same as the 1895?
They appear together in ASKO's older lineup, but we do not assume the parts are identical. We read the number on your label first and confirm each part before we order.
Why does my 1885 leave water in the tub?
A clogged filter, a kinked hose or a weak pump is the usual cause. We clear the path and test a full drain, so the tub is empty when the program ends and not just partly emptied.
Why is the door locked after the program stops?
The lock may not be releasing, or the control may be waiting on a water level signal. We test both and free the door safely.
