W2084.W.U
ASKO W2084.W.U Classic Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Door lock not releasing at program end
- Drain filter clogged, water left behind
- Dispenser drawer not flushing detergent
- Spin noise from the drum or bearings
The W2084.W.U is an ASKO Classic series washer with a 17.6 lb load capacity and a top spin speed of 1400 rpm. It offers 15 programs, installs freestanding, and ASKO has discontinued it, though it is still common in Houston homes as a compact, reliable washer.
On a washer like this we start with the drain filter and pump, then the door lock, then the dispenser drawer and its water feed. If a noise appears at high spin, we inspect the bearings and the shocks that steady the tub.
This model is discontinued, so we find out which parts are still available before the repair begins. The label gives us the full number, and a written price comes first. If the repair costs more than it should for a washer this age, we tell you.

What does the W2084 offer for capacity and speed?
It handles loads up to 17.6 lb and spins at up to 1400 rpm. The faster the spin, the more strain on bearings and mounts, so we listen for those first.
The dispenser drawer leaves detergent behind. Why?
Water may not be flushing the drawer, or buildup may be blocking its passages. We check the water supply to the drawer and clean the passages before suggesting a part.
Do you repair discontinued ASKO washers?
Yes. We find out which parts can still be found for this discontinued model, give you a written price, and say honestly if the repair does not make sense for the machine.
