What F41 means
On the ASKO DBI564 line and on DFI and DSD dishwashers using the F-code display, F41 stands for the first heater message. Wash water is supposed to heat up as a program runs. When the heater circuit does not deliver, the control halts the program and prints F41. The result can be a lukewarm tub, spots on glassware, or dishes that stay wet after the final rinse.
Common causes of F41
- A heating element that has burned open
- A temperature sensor that gives a wrong value
- A loose or corroded wire at the heater
- A control board that fails to switch the heater
1. Press any button to clear the message. 2. Run a short program and check whether the tub warms up. 3. Keep the spray arms free so they can spin. 4. If F41 comes back, stop using the dishwasher. Do not open it up to reach the heater.
- Which part is behind it: the element, the temperature sensor or the control board
- Whether the heater is getting power at all
- Which heater fits your exact model, confirmed before we quote
Other Dishwasher codes
Is F41 only about the heating element?
It is about the heating circuit, and the element is the most common part. A sensor or wiring problem can raise that code too, so we test each one first.
The dishwasher still drains and sprays. Can I use it?
Without heat the wash and drying are poor, and detergent does not dissolve well. We suggest waiting for the repair instead of washing loads that come out wrong.
What is included with the repair?
A written price before we begin, plus a 30-day workmanship warranty on our work.
Still seeing F41?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
