What F54 means
F54 is the second overfill message on ASKO dishwashers with the F-code display, among them the DBI564IS.U, DBI564TS.U, DBI564PS.U, DFI and DSD. F10 is the first. The control found too much water in the tub and stopped the fill. The owner's manual says the water supply pressure must be between 4.2 and 140 psi, so pressure is one of the things we look at along with the inlet valve and the level sensor.
Common causes of F54
- Supply pressure outside the allowed range
- An inlet valve that does not close fully
- A level sensor that misreports the tub level
- A control that does not end the fill
1. Dismiss the message with any button. 2. If the tub is overfull or you see water outside the machine, close the supply valve. 3. Find out from your plumber or building whether the water pressure has changed. 4. Keep the water off and the dishwasher idle if F54 comes back.
- Whether your pressure falls inside 4.2 to 140 psi
- Whether the valve or the sensor is the real cause
- Whether water reached the floor under the machine

What is the difference between F10 and F54?
Both mean overfilling. F10 is Overfilling Water 1 and F54 is Overfilling Water 2, and the second is the one tied to supply pressure in the owner's manual.
Can high water pressure really cause this?
Yes. Too much pressure can push water past a valve that is otherwise fine. We compare pressure and valve behavior to find which one is to blame.
What does the repair include?
A written price before we start and a 30-day workmanship warranty.
