What F54 means

Like F10, the F54 message on an ASKO Professional DWC6432 dishwasher means too much water entered the tub, but it is a second, separate overfill warning. The DWC6432BIXXLSU and DWC6432FIXXLU are professional machines sold in the US for multifamily and light commercial use. Supply pressure is part of this one: the owner's manual calls for 4.2 to 140 psi. The control stops the fill and shows F54, and water on the floor is possible.

Common causes of F54

  • Water pressure outside the range the machine allows
  • An inlet valve that does not close all the way
  • A level sensor that misreports the water in the tub
  • The control failing to end the fill
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Press any button to clear the message. 2. If the tub looks overfull or water is on the floor, turn off the supply valve. 3. Ask your building maintenance team whether the water pressure was changed recently. 4. If F54 returns, keep the water off and stop using the dishwasher.

! Why to stop there
  • Whether building pressure sits inside the 4.2 to 140 psi range
  • Whether the valve or the level sensor is the real source
  • Whether any water reached the base of the machine
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F54F54 questions
How do F10 and F54 differ?

F10 is the first overfill message and F54 is the second. The second can be tied to supply pressure, so we test the valve and the pressure side by side to tell them apart.

Why does water pressure matter?

Too much pressure can push water past a valve that is working, and too little can confuse the fill timing. The owner's manual gives 4.2 to 140 psi as the working range.
