ASKO D5638 XL Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Titan trim scuffed
- Cycle stuck on one step
- Wet bottom rack
- Leak at the corner
The ASKO D5638 XL is also written D5638XL, and the brand sold it in stainless and in a Titan finish. If the paperwork says one finish and the door shows another, the plate on the machine settles it.
Machines with two finishes share the same inside, so our checks are the same on both. A cycle stuck on one step sends us to the control and the sensor that goes with it. A wet bottom rack sends us to the pump, the drain and the drying step. A leak at the corner of the door sends us to the seal and the hinge alignment.
We confirm the model and serial from the plate before ordering parts, check supply for an older machine, and give you a written price before any repair work. We also tell you plainly if the machine is better replaced than repaired.

Do stainless and Titan models repair the same way?
The inside is the same, so the checks match. The door panel is different, which matters when a panel is damaged or needs removal. Parts for a stainless door may not fit a Titan door, so the exact finish matters when we order.
Why is my bottom rack wet?
Water may not be draining fully, or the drying step may not be finishing. We test the pump and the drying step in order. A bottom rack that stays wet usually points to a drain or drying issue rather than the rack itself.
Is my machine worth repairing?
After the inspection we tell you the cost, whether the parts can be found and whether it makes sense for a machine of its age.
