Most common issues on this model
- Program stalls with water left in the drum
- Heavy thumping when the drum speeds up
- Door interlock not releasing
- Water leaking under the cabinet
The 12505 is an older ASKO washing machine from the same group of numbers as the 12004. It is no longer sold, though it is still in use.
We go through four things on it: drain, spin, door and leaks. A program that stalls before the spin means we check the pump and its filter. Grinding in the spin means we inspect the drum bearings. A locked door means the interlock, and a puddle means the hoses and seals.
Parts for older ASKO washers can be scarce, so we confirm what exists before the repair. We quote in writing and say plainly if a repair is not worth the cost. If parking near your home is limited, let us know when you book.

What is the first thing you check on a stalled washer?
The drain pump and its filter, since a washer will not spin with water in the drum. Many stalls end right there. That is why the pump filter is the first stop.
The washer walks across the floor in the spin. Why?
It can be loose suspension, a worn part or a load out of balance. We inspect the cabinet and the drum area. Level the machine and balance the load first.
How soon can you come?
