ASKO D5152XXLS Built-In Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Halts mid-program, door locked
- Filmed or gritty dishes
- Leak at the front
- Door latch not holding
The ASKO D5152XXLS is a built-in XXL dishwasher in stainless steel. Built-in means it sits under the counter between cabinets, so pulling it out is part of most repairs and has to be done carefully to protect the floor and the stainless door.
We begin by watching a cycle if the machine still runs. Water at the front leads to the door seal and the hoses. A filmed load leads to the filter and spray arms. A program that stops with the door locked sends us to the lock and the board.
A few parts for this older machine can be hard to track down, so we look at the plate and the parts picture before you approve anything. Our written price comes first, and the repair is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
Do you have to pull a built-in dishwasher out to repair it?
For most repairs, yes. We disconnect water, drain and power safely, slide the machine out on protective material, and reinstall it level and secure when we finish.
The latch will not hold. Is that a simple fix?
Sometimes it is a worn lock or strike, which is a modest repair. Other times the door itself has shifted. We check both and quote in writing before any work.
Is stainless harder to repair than other finishes?
The inside is the same. The difference is care: stainless scratches, so we protect the door and the counter edge while working, and we put everything back as we found it.
