D5454
ASKO D5454 XL Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Water on the floor
- Cycle stalls
- Dishes gritty
- Dispenser stuck
The ASKO D5454 XL is also written D5454XL, and it is a stainless steel machine in the XL size. It is an older machine now, but many are still running in Houston kitchens.
When water reaches the floor, we trace the leak upward from the toe panel, checking the pump, hoses, door seal and inlet connection in that order. If the cycle stalls, we read the display and test the sensor that matches. Gritty dishes lead us to the filter, and a stuck dispenser to its latch.
We read the model and serial before ordering any part, and we confirm availability. You see the price in writing before we start, and if a repair does not make sense for the machine we tell you plainly.

Error codes this model can show
Where does the water on the floor come from?
The usual sources are the door seal, a hose connection or the pump. We trace the water to its start before quoting, so you pay for the right repair.
Is D5454XL a different model from D5454 XL?
No. It is the same model written closed up. The plate on your machine settles it, and we use it to order parts. Labels and paperwork vary in how they print the number, so the plate is our reference.
My cycle stops partway. What do you check?
We read the display, then test the sensor or part it points to. Common causes are a drain problem, a lock issue or a water level reading.
