What E11 means
The display of an ASKO W5 series model like the W5114RXLW shows E11 when the water in the drum rises higher than it should. The washer interrupts the program and pumps the water out to protect the floor. If the cause was a one-time event, a restart may finish the load, but a drum that keeps filling means water is still entering when it should not be.
Common causes of E11
- Inlet valve that stays open after it should have shut
- Water level sensor reading too low
- Drain pump or drain path that is slow
- Control that keeps the valve open
1. Let the washer pump the water out, then restart the program. 2. If water keeps filling, close the water tap right away. 3. Leave the washer off until it is checked. 4. If E11 returns after a restart, schedule service, and the owner's manual agrees that a technician should look at it.
- The code alone cannot separate the valve, the level sensor and the control, so we test them in turn
- Water that keeps filling after the tap is closed points to a different part than a one-time overflow
- You approve a written price before we work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty backs the job
Other Washer codes
Is E11 a leak warning on my ASKO washer?
It means overflow. The water level went above the safe limit, so the washer stopped the program and pumped the water out.
What should I do if water keeps filling?
Close the water tap at once and leave the washer off. Leave it off until a technician has checked it, and when you call, we confirm a three-hour arrival window.
Can I restart after E11?
Yes, once the water has been pumped out. If the program finishes without the code, it may have been a single event, but if E11 returns, stop and have it checked.
Still seeing E11?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
