W3LW.U
ASKO W3LW.U 3-Series Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Drum not reaching full spin speed
- Door lock or latch not releasing
- Drain pump slow to clear the drum
- Control ignoring a program choice
The W3LW.U is a current ASKO 3-series washer. It holds up to 23.1 lb, spins at up to 1600 rpm, and offers 21 programs. It is freestanding, and ASKO lists it as ADA compliant when it stands on the ASKO pedestal drawer.
The 1600 rpm top speed is the first thing we think about. A washer that spins that fast puts real load on the bearings, the shocks and the drive, so a noise at high speed or a drum that never reaches full spin gets a close look. We also check the drain pump when water is left behind, and the door lock when the cycle will not end.
If your washer stands on a pedestal drawer, we check that it sits level and square, since the stand affects vibration. We confirm the full model and serial from the label, give a written price first, and warrant our work for 30 days.

Does the W3LW.U need a pedestal?
It is freestanding, and ASKO lists it as ADA compliant when it stands on the pedestal drawer. We check the leveling either way, since a rocking washer vibrates in the spin.
The drum never reaches high spin speed. What do you check?
We test the drive and the drain, and inspect the balance system. A washer that cannot drain or sense the load will hold back the speed, so we check those too.
How is the W3LW.U different from the W3W.U?
Both are 3-series washers, but their capacity and top spin speed differ. We confirm the exact number from the label so we order the right part.
